Salem! I'm an AI & robotics engineer with experience across field robotics, computer vision, and applied machine learning. I'm joining the Neuro Computing Systems Lab at KTH Royal Institute of Technology as a PhD student and MSCA scholar within the ELEVATE consortium — a direction I'm genuinely excited to grow into, focusing on neuromorphic computing and event-based vision.

Most recently I was a Research Fellow at ISTC CNR (Italian National Research Council) in Rome, where I deployed autonomous drones for precision agriculture — working on real-time mapping, mission planning, and sensor fusion with RGB and LiDAR.

Before CNR, I was an AI Engineer at Botshelf.ai, building production document understanding pipelines that combined OCR, layout analysis, and large language models. Earlier, at Nazarbayev University, I worked on robotic manipulation and perception using the UR10 arm and an RGBD camera.

My broader interests are in perception, autonomous systems, and how AI can make robots more capable in unstructured environments. For collaborations or a chat — reach out anytime.

  • MSc in Artificial Intelligence & Robotics

    Sapienza University of Rome

  • BSc in Robotics & Mechatronics

    Nazarbayev University, Kazakhstan

Autonomous Drone Systems

Deployed UAVs for open-field agricultural missions at CNR — real-time mapping, mission planning, and LiDAR/RGB sensor fusion.

Computer Vision

Object detection, depth estimation, and perception pipelines using RGB, depth, and point cloud data. Experience with ROS and onboard inference.

Document Intelligence

Built production pipelines at Botshelf.ai combining OCR, layout analysis, and LLMs for structured document understanding.

Robotic Manipulation

Worked with UR10 arm and RGBD camera on perception-driven manipulation tasks at Nazarbayev University.

Neuromorphic Computing

Incoming PhD focus as MSCA scholar within ELEVATE — event-based vision and spiking neural networks at the KTH Neuro Computing Systems Lab.

Tools & Stack

Python, PyTorch, ROS/ROS2, OpenCV, PCL, Docker. Comfortable with Linux, Git, and working close to hardware.
